Mission statement
NWRA - Leadership in Nebraska Water.

Vision statement
A growing and vibrant Association of active and informed members representing a diverse but unified and influential voice in the legislative, judicial and administrative arenas, and reaching out to educate and inform the citizens of Nebraska.

Goals
1) Increase awareness of NWRA on the state and national level.
2) Improve organizational structure and process.
3) Enhance relationships with existing members and recruit new.
4) Provide information on issues.
5) Provide a forum for consensus building.
6) Advocate for members interests
7) Maintain fiscal responsibility

Action Plan

1) Increase awareness of NWRA on the State & National level (Executive committee)

a. Identify activities, issues and accomplishments
1. Annual meeting
2. With dues Statements
3. Annually in Newsletter
4. Executive Director report at Board meetings
b. Develop and maintain Web page
c. Distribute Newsletter
1. Quarterly
2. Special alerts as needed by email
d. Water Roundtable
1. Number of meetings held yearly

2) Improve organizational structure and process (Nominating Committee)

a. Engage board & membership to be more active
1. Keep all Board positions filled
2. Follow-up on attendance
3. Look at structure of Board membership
4. Establish active/effective committees
b. Determine expectations between Board & staff
1. Update plan annually with Executive Committee

3) Enhance relationships with existing members and recruit new (Membership Committee)

a. Promote National Association connection
