Mission and Purpose
The NWRA is a nonprofit alliance of state organizations and individuals dedicated to the appropriate management, conservation and use of water and land resources on a statewide and national level. It was founded in 1944 and is directed by a board with representatives from Nebraska’s river basins, surface water and ground water irrigation, electric power, municipalities, industrial, professional, conservation, recreation and financial institutions. Therefore, providing a diverse but unified voice to government policy makers and the public on water issues.
A growing and vibrant Association of active and informed members representing a diverse but unified and influential voice in the legislative, judicial and administrative arenas, and reaching out to educate and inform the citizens of Nebraska.
