Kremer Award Nomination

The Nebraska Water Resources Association (NWRA) will be accepting nominations until October 1, 2024 for the Maurice Kremer Groundwater Achievement Award. In 2021, the Groundwater Foundation transferred the award to the NWRA. The award will be presented at the joint convention of the Nebraska Water Resources Association and the Nebraska State Irrigation Association meeting held in Kearney, Nebraska, November 25-26, 2024.

Maurice Kremer Award Nomination Form

The Award was founded in 1985 as a tribute to Maurice Kremer, a Nebraska native who served in the legislature where he was best known for establishing the Natural Resources Districts and helping pass laws to protect Nebraska's groundwater resources. The Award is intended to recognize outstanding Nebraskans who have made a significant impact in the conservation and protection of the State's groundwater resources through research, education or management activities.
